Affiliate disclosure

Our Website Guide is free to read. We pay for it through affiliate commissions: when a guide links to a tool, such as a web host, website builder, domain registrar or email marketing service, and you sign up or buy through that link, the company may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra.

How we choose what to link

• We only link a tool where it's actually used in the guide. We don't add links just because a brand is mentioned.
• Guides are written from hands-on use, with screenshots taken from real accounts.
• Commissions don't decide what we recommend. If a free option does the job, we say so.
• We don't call anything the "best" or "cheapest" unless we can back it up, and we date the prices we quote.

How to spot affiliate links

Every guide has a disclosure near the top. Affiliate links on this site go through addresses starting with /go/, and are marked as sponsored for search engines.
